Project Description
November 20, 9:30 – 11:00 at Nordic Hotel Forum
As the film industry continues to evolve in response to changing audience expectations and rapid innovation, the need for professionals to stay current through ongoing training and upskilling has never been more important. The panel discussion, “Bridging the Gap—Preparing for the Future through Training and Up-skilling,” will explore the essential skills filmmakers and creatives will need in the coming years and how the industry can better prepare its workforce for emerging challenges. A central theme will be identifying who should take responsibility for organizing and financing these vital training programs. The panel will also examine the pressures that continuous upskilling places on professionals, especially freelancers and creatives. This session is ideal for those looking to understand how the film industry is preparing for the future and how to approach upskilling strategically to stay competitive. This session is organized by the FilmEU+ project, which unites leading European higher education institutions to promote excellence in education, innovation, and research in Film and Media Arts. Together, they aim to solidify Europe’s leadership in the creative industries worldwide.
